Patty rubbed her temples with both hands, a troubled expression on her face.
"I'm Barry's girlfriend. You're all part of the past, and there's no way I'm giving him up. You love him, and so do I. Most importantly, he loves me too. We just moved into this new house and we're about to get married. Your appearance is untimely and unreasonable."
Perhaps this was the majesty of the principal wife. She spoke with complete confidence. Even though she had only spent one night in the house, she already acted like its mistress.
