The First Dream had long since helped pinpoint Luthor's location. Finding him should have taken only minutes, but Su Ming had run into Nyarlathotep on the way and delayed things a little to chat with the Outer God.

The city before them was different. The buildings it regrew were even more twisted, like scars over a wound—ugly and bloody. Those skyscrapers resembled crooked ram horns, carrying an ominous pale green hue.

The stench in the air had also become more pronounced, carrying the smell of a morgue. Yet perhaps because Nyarlathotep was following behind them, no hostile bizarre creatures had appeared so far.

They walked forward along the blood-red road, which resembled a fleshy pad. They could clearly feel it throbbing beneath their feet, brimming with exaggerated vitality.

Other than Deathstroke, everyone spoke less and less, all trying to avoid inhaling too much of the stench and vomiting on the spot.

After passing two intersections, Su Ming admired a traffic light covered in three-colored pustules, then turned into a store.
