Deathstroke brought the two women and one cat back to his home in the mountains.
The house was still the same house—not too big, not too small, with enough room to live in. The forest around it, however, seemed even lusher than before. From a distance, one could not even tell there was a house hidden in the mountains.
"Do you usually live here, meow?"
The kitten in Deathstroke's arms voiced its doubt. Having just left the grand and magnificent architectural wonder of Kamar-Taj, it was immediately shown a two-story wooden house. The contrast felt enormous.
"Yep. This is my home on 40K Earth. Because of the difference in Timeline Speed between the two worlds, one day passing over in Multiverse 1 used to mean several weeks passed here. I actually have plenty of free time. But if you don't like the climate here, I have an island in Hawaii, or you can live in outer space if you want. The Mars Forge is livelier, for example."
Stroking the fur along the cat's back, Su Ming carried it toward the cabin. Gin was already standing at the door to welcome them.
Everyone knew what mountain weather was like. It was warmer during the day, but especially cold at night. Ordinary people would not live in the mountains year-round, or they would sooner or later develop rheumatism.
But Gin liked this sort of environment. She had half Vanir blood and half Aesir blood, and she liked places with mountains, water, forests, and heavy blizzards in winter. After all, before the Second God War, the ancestors of both races had lived in Scandinavia on Earth.
"No need to go to that trouble. I don't like water." The cat rolled its eyes. No normal person would take a cat to a beach resort.
