After eating a heap of air—sampling all the "dishes" on the empty plates—and tasting wine that did not exist, the banquet could be said to have left both host and guest thoroughly satisfied.
The Queen of Never seemed very pleased. Perhaps because she was lonely, she kept talking and barely ate anything.
From her own inexplicable birth to Firmament's six cycles of reincarnation, from the formation of Hell to the First God War of those years, she had witnessed it all firsthand.
Unfortunately, due to her own peculiar limitations, she could not leave this place and could only remain an observer.
During their conversation, she changed into no fewer than twenty different avatars. Only her rainbow-colored hair remained unchanged, though as her mood improved, its colors became far more vivid.
When they had first met, her hair had resembled a rainbow flag. Now it glowed, every strand like a slender fluorescent tube.
"All right, we've eaten and drunk. I need to get on with business." Su Ming put down his knife and fork and even wiped his mouth with a napkin, despite not having eaten anything. "TOAA told you, right? I want to see him, and I need you to show me the way."
"TOAA? Oh, your particular way of referring to him. I understand. But to us, he is simply OAA, nothing else." The Queen readily agreed. Rising to her feet, she wore the rainbow about herself like a robe. "Yes, I'll take you to see him, but are you prepared?"
"What kind of preparation?" Su Ming also left the dining table. He noticed that all the plates on the tabletop vanished at the same instant. "Do I need to bring a gift when I see him? Should I go buy a carton of milk or some eight-treasure porridge?"
