Jar-ro's dormitory was gaudy and flashy. It had installed quite a few mood lights, turning the plain holding cell into something like a gaming room. Once the running lights came on, it really did shine brightly, as though it instantly transported people back to the bustling streets of Gotham at night.
Only, there was no gunfire here, no ever-present acid rain, nor blood flowing through alleys and corpses staring sightlessly into death. So Jar-ro still had a long way to go if it wanted to join the Bat-Family, because Batwoman clearly did not trust it much yet.
Just think about it. In the past, whenever Batwoman wanted Barbara to do something, she would casually mention it over the comm channel, then wait for the results while going about her own business.
But things were different with Jar-ro today. After handing that little Uni-Force ghost over to Starro, she kept watching it without leaving its side, as though afraid Jar-ro might make off with it. Did that count as trust?
Only the simple-minded Starro still believed it was Batwoman's most beloved Robin.
What was the identity of Robin? It was not enough to put on a red-and-green uniform. You had to earn Batwoman's recognition.
"Alright, don't be so serious." Su Ming released Damian and smiled at Batwoman. "Come on, let's find somewhere private to talk. You should know where the quiet places in the Hall of Justice are, right?"

Batwoman said nothing. She gave Deathstroke a deep look, then walked past him, her black cape swaying behind her as she headed for the corner of the corridor.
The meaning was simple enough: she wanted Deathstroke to follow.
"Fine, stay here and keep an eye on the Uni-Force." Su Ming rubbed Damian's head, then stuffed several boxes of Chocolate Frogs into
