Tragic—too tragic. Though Su Ming had long known that Kang's life was a tragedy, that he was the most severe case of Multiple Personality Disorder in history, hearing again that he did not even have a single acquaintance still made Su Ming feel that he was simply too pitiful.
No wonder he played around with Timelines. Ordinary life was probably torture to him, with no enjoyment whatsoever.
Come to think of it, with a title like "Conqueror," he ought to have been considered a major figure, someone who should have had capable subordinates.
But he had none. He only created disposable tools of himself within different time loops. Not a single trusted confidant could truly follow him to different Time Points.
The last person in human history to bear the title of Conqueror should have been Alexander the Great. That guy had died under mysterious circumstances too.
"Do you have any leads for the investigation, Sheriff?" The Adjutant also found Kang pitiful, though her expression remained rather calm. After all, she still did not quite understand how complicated an arch-nemesis relationship could be.
"Go to TVA headquarters and check the temporal records."
Su Ming thought for only a second before immediately giving his answer. He pulled a spicy rabbit head from a plastic bag and handed it to Strangle, then took one out for himself and bit into it.
"The last time Kang and I played our game, the setting was there. But why there? While he controlled the Time Variance Authority, he must have used it to do something. There may be some information left behind on that so-called Sacred Timeline."
As had been said before, any crime scene someone had passed through would inevitably retain traces. It was the law of material exchange, and every detective knew it.
