From what Ciri said, V in this world was still a woman?
It did not really matter. A Mercenary's gender was unimportant; ability was what mattered. He just did not know how far the story had progressed. Had she plugged that chip into her head yet?
He would know once he went to see her. It would be fun to tease her a little too. If he took her along to blow up Arasaka Tower, that could count as fulfilling a dream in some way, right?
"Let's go find her." Su Ming turned off the television and examined his gleaming "silver hand" under the sunlight. Smiling, he flicked his hair. "Do you know where she lives?"
"I do. She has a close friend named Jack. She was living in his home like a parasite, at least when I left."
That was why Ciri found it strange. V was merely an unremarkable street girl among Night City's countless Mercenaries, with no real reputation to speak of, yet Deathstroke somehow knew her.
Was it because V dressed strangely? Or because she was always changing her hairstyle?
Hearing that, Su Ming roughly understood. It sounded like the story had not begun yet, which was good news.
It was even a little early. In the original story, V only received that fatal job some time after she had made some money and moved out of Jack's place.
Of course, Ciri was describing how things had been the last time she left. Going by the Timeline Speed, V might already have moved out, but there had been no news of Saburo Arasaka's death on television.
If a major figure like that died, it would trigger a whole series of follow-up reports about Arasaka Corporation. For at least several months, television would be full of that
