Deathstroke had said a lot, and none of it was wrong, but Kitty did not want to hear it. It just wanted to see rivers of blood.
Well, not exactly. After all, Insomnia was a nightmare that had escaped from Dreaming, so Dream of a Thousand Cats probably bore at least a whisker's worth of responsibility. It was a Dream Lord, after all.
So now it was hoping Deathstroke would hurry up and get rid of that nightmare. Then it could go home and sleep. Being full always made it sleepy.
Well, Dream Lords could not actually sleep. They could only lie there with their eyes open, because every member of Endless possessed two contradictory concepts. Death was also life, Despair was also hope, and Destiny was also freedom.
Dream's other side was reality.
"I do. But the original plan needs a few adjustments. What Insomnia wants is not so much to become human as to have the peaceful, harmonious life Christopher's original personality once had. And I'm going to turn all of that into a joke, so it understands what color true darkness is."
