Su Ming had a rough idea of what had happened. He put the diary back where it belonged. Just then, Strangle sent back information as well: there were no traces of tiny organisms, and the scent had become impossible to identify. This place was far too chaotic.

The Cloak of Levitation, meanwhile, confirmed that there were no traces of magic being used here. Brian's death had nothing to do with magic.

"Very good. You both did well. I'll buy you something to eat later." Su Ming praised them, intending to buy chocolate for Strangle and some gems for the cloak.

As he spoke, he picked up a thick stack of experimental records and began leafing through them.

These were records from the final experiment. They were not standard, properly formatted records; they looked more like the doctor talking to himself.

"Experiment involving the emission of high doses of gamma rays at the subject has failed. Humans cannot withstand such immense energy. Autopsies showed that the internal organs and brain had been completely damaged, reduced to a porridge-like state."

Below the text was a large collection of pictures, mainly documenting the miserable state of the deceased.

"Isotope research has reached a bottleneck. Dr. Stark's assistance is required. See Appendix 1."

Su Ming flipped through it. Appendix 1 was a long list of equipment names and experimental procedures. It seemed that Brian had hoped Howard would help him create a new element before his death.

He flipped back and continued reading, the white pages rustling.

"Replicating Captain America is no longer possible. We can only select a new starting point and begin with the most basic superpowers."

Su Ming's hand paused when he saw this.

When ordinary people thought of superpowers, their first impression was probably that, right?
