"Kidnapping." Barry looked conflicted. That didn't sound like a good word.
"Mm, then let's put it another way: restricting their personal freedom for the sake of the world's survival." Su Ming thought for a moment and rephrased it, though he had no intention of changing what they were actually going to do.
Bliss was the first to nod. Supervision—she could accept that. That was how she handled Gotham City.
"That sounds much better. Thanks." Barry sighed helplessly.
Su Ming clapped his hands and told Cindy to keep resting here. Her injuries and the toxins in her body would take time to overcome. For the next part, only he, Barry, and Batwoman would be acting.
"Barry, once you're full, we'll get moving. First, Gotham's flower market."
"All right, let's go."
Barry hoisted Su Ming and Bliss onto his shoulders and rushed out through the Batcave's entrance. Within the Speed Force, Bliss guided the way, and the three soon reached an area packed with flower shops.
It was a little after six in the morning, yet there was no sign of daylight at all. Black clouds blocked everything out as the storm swept across the city.
The streets were still pitch-black. After leaving the Speed Force, all three were standing in floodwater above their knees, while the torrential rain washed over every inch of their uniforms.
"This is where Gotham's flower shops are most concentrated. Poison Ivy often appears nearby." Bliss led them to a street. Behind the rows of shops stood several enormous greenhouses, resembling a botanical garden, though the wind and rain had damaged some of their roofs.
"Speaking of Poison Ivy, Cindy's first assignment was to pass along a message from Jester—she wanted to play with you. Next time she asks, can you confirm that we delivered the message?
