Meanwhile, when Newton fled the city of monsters all those years ago, he left behind an indelible toxin and a fire that was nearly impossible to extinguish.
That was the only place the monsters could survive, the only source of water in the entire plane. Thus, before death claimed them, the monsters in the city went mad. Learning that Newton had caused it all, they went to his home.
Even if they were going to die, they would kill Newton first.
But Newton had fled long ago. Only his monster wife and the child he had left behind remained in the house. Although the child looked exactly like a human infant, Newton knew he was a monster and had never wanted such a child.
The child had merely been a tool for gaining trust and qualifications. Now, he had become baggage.
When the mob rushed to his door, his monster wife spun about in panic. Even after she barricaded the door with every piece of furniture, the people outside continued to ram it desperately.
That was when Michelangelo appeared. He said there was nothing he could do to help her, but he could save the child.
The monster wife cursed Newton, because she knew it was all over. Newton had used them, intended to destroy their race, and bury everything.
She was furious, hateful, insane.
But the child was innocent. In the end, she still handed him over to Michelangelo, while she herself was killed by the mob that stormed into the house.
The mob had originally wanted to kill Michelangelo too, but how could a wielder of space-time powers be so easily slain? With a single flash, he vanished.
Michelangelo took the child to the Land of Chaos, another Pocket Dimension, a lesser plane where the Timeline Speed was
