Red emergency lights glowed in the communications room. A figure in black-and-yellow armor leaned against a damaged instrument, smoking.
When she saw Su Ming and Barbara enter, she flicked away the cigarette butt. "Took you long enough. I've already prepared our escape route. I blasted open part of the underground area and connected it to the sewers. We'll use them to rendezvous with the Waverider."
"...Was what you said earlier true?"
Barbara clutched Su Ming's clothes with two fingers and asked anxiously.
Su Ming leaned over to inspect the large hole in the floor, then gave her a helpless look.
"There are two Deathstrokes here. If we wanted to kill you, you wouldn't get a single letter out. I wouldn't lie over something this trivial."
Barbara's expression became incredibly strange.
There was joy and excitement, as well as relief and release, but other emotions soon mixed in—regret and irritation, dejection and helplessness.
She blamed herself for causing all this. If her father had not died, she would never have come up with this "resurrection" plan.
And now, not only had her plan been pointless, she had caused trouble for everyone. She was so ashamed she wanted to die.
