"Why have we been standing around talking in the rain this whole time?"
Barry looked at the others, who were deep in thought. Whenever his brain worked, it triggered the Speed Force, making his thoughts move at an astonishing speed.
He had already finished thinking. His conclusion was that they should keep following Deathstroke's commands, so he had nothing to do now.
"How about I find some materials and build you a shelter?"
Su Ming looked up at the storm clouds overhead. This city showed no sign of dawn. In fact, it was darker now than it had been at night.
"Don't you think a group of mysterious people holding a meeting in a dark, secluded alley has a certain atmosphere?" Su Ming curled his lip. His style had always been this dark. Take it or leave it.
Arthur casually swept back his long hair, his wet golden locks slicing through the air as he laughed. "So that's how it is. I thought you all liked soaking in water as much as I do."
Su Ming glanced at him through his gas mask. "Gotham rainwater is different from rain anywhere else. Since you like clean seawater, I should warn you first: if this really is Gotham rain, your whole body ought to be itching by now."
"Gotham has a lot of Chemical Plants, and the air pollution is severe. Mostly sulfur dioxide and nitrogen monoxide. When they combine with clouds in the air, the resulting rain is somewhat acidic. But more importantly, there are unknown components. Who knows what those factories have been burning?"
Thomas added his own comment. He was an old Gotham hand, so naturally he understood the city better than anyone else. Yet he seemed to have realized something, suddenly staring at Deathstroke with a horrified expression.
