"Everyone knows the situation we're in now. Let's begin. Our time is limited."
Batwoman huddled beneath her cape and concluded her speech.
They called it a Justice League meeting, but in truth, it was just her explaining the plan while everyone else listened.
Questions were allowed, but objections were not. Everything had been planned out, and there would be no casual changes.
J'onn and Superman stood beside her. Given the failure of their last plan, neither of them was really in any position to question Batwoman's judgment now.
Even though the plan sounded completely insane.
As the second- and third-tier Heroes gathered around them dispersed, Batwoman remained where she was in silence.
During the previous battle of Earth's Submergence, many Heroes had suffered severe injuries, both physical and psychological.
They had been sent to a place called Sanctuary, a secret organization created by the Trinity of the Justice League to treat and protect Heroes.
They might gradually recover there, but clearly not now. That was why far fewer people could join this plan.
Clark was still thinking over some of what Batwoman had said earlier, while J'onn linked his mind to Batwoman's. His voice rang directly in both their minds.
"You think we walked into Luthor's trap?"
"Yes. Our assessment of the Dark Power of Creation may have been wrong. Luthor's progress has likely far exceeded our estimates. At this point, he may only lack Perpetua's power, and our actions at the Source Wall were exactly what he wanted."
Batwoman folded her arms, stretching two bulges into her black cape.
"But Starman proposed this plan. He's reliable."
"He only has half a brain. The other half is in Luthor's hands." Batwoman's expression remained blank. Mental communication was extremely discreet, so she did not care that Starman was right beside them.
