Su Ming skidded a long distance across the ground. Not only had the black oil on the floor been scraped away, even the hard marble had been gouged into a trench. He slammed headfirst into the wall at the far end, leaving behind a huge hole.
The entire hall had been reduced to ruins by the battle between the two. It had originally been a massive warehouse, and the weathered wooden crates had all been smashed to pieces. Old-fashioned canned goods rolled everywhere, with quite a few bursting open outright and splattering both fighters with the sauce from canned baked beans.
After changing his fighting style, Su Ming was no longer merely taking hits. He had the Upside-Down Man summon an immense number of tentacles. This place was now a literal tentacle hell.
Thick violet-black tentacles, brimming with the style of the Old Gods, filled the area. Even when they managed to seize part of the Hellbat Armor, they would be torn apart before they could hold it for long.
But with Su Ming throwing resources into this without regard for the cost, the Batman Who Laughs's movements became less fluid. Whenever he flew, either tentacles from the ground would grab his legs, or those on the ceiling would block his route and obstruct his vision.
His flight was now jerky and stuttering. In an online FPS game, he would have looked like one of those high-ping players.
