The ticket seller recoiled slightly, his chair scraping across the tiles with a squeak. He looked up at Magneto's face but avoided his eyes.

He knew he had been found after all. Perhaps by a survivor of the Concentration Camp, but he had handled thousands upon thousands of test subjects, and that had been many years ago.

The young man before him should have been only a child back then. His appearance was impossible to recognize now, and that surname meant nothing either. The prisoners in the Concentration Camp had only numbers, like livestock.

Magneto was not surprised in the least. He had known all of this long ago. In that Hell on earth, he had merely stood out a little because of his superpower.

"What about this?"

As he spoke, he raised one hand. A coin flew from his pocket and spun in midair as though supported by an invisible platform.

"It's you."

The former researcher nearly instantly remembered that special child upon seeing this. When Commander Schmidt had tortured the boy's mother to awaken his superpower, he had used a coin.

Everything made Magneto's intentions clear.

The coin dropped onto the counter with a crisp clang. Magneto pulled down his hood and clenched his fist. "You don't remember me as a person. You only remember my ability. To you people, Mutants really are nothing but tools!"

"No! That was a mistake. I apologize to you. We all lived in an era of mistakes beyond our control. For God's sake, please spare me."

The researcher dropped to his knees. Even now, he remembered how that child had slaughtered his way out of the Concentration Camp. Terrifying magnetic force had swept through steel like a tornado, instantly killing every soldier in the camp.
