Ch. 384A Greedy Past

Circe explained that Hecate had divided her power among five human bearers, whose Witch’s Marks sealed it, and warned that reclaiming it could kill them. Diana’s mark had reacted to The Upside-Down Man, leaving her in danger if she encountered Hecate.

  • Diana asked Circe what the Witch’s Mark on her forehead was and what Hecate intended to do.
  • Circe told Diana that Hecate had shared magic with ancient humans, but the gods grew greedy and tried to seize her greater power.
  • Circe explained that Hecate hid five portions of her power inside human girls and used the Witch’s Marks to seal them.
  • Diana said The Upside-Down Man’s presence had made energy surge within her mark, but Circe could not explain the reaction.
  • Su Ming asked what would happen if Hecate reclaimed the marked power, and Circe said the bearers would be controlled and their souls burned away.

Ch. 385Plan Conflict

Su Ming tried to keep Diana safe as Hecate’s threat to the Magic World grew, but Diana insisted on acting. After learning that Shangri-La was under attack, Su Ming knocked Diana unconscious to stop her from rushing into danger.

  • Su Ming suggested sending Diana to Heaven or Hell to hide, but she refused to retreat.
  • Diana proposed activating Hecate’s power inside her to draw Hecate out, and Circe said she could do it.
  • Circe and Albera received messages that a purple-lit Witch’s Mark bearer was attacking Nanda Parbat, one of the Magic World’s three pillars.
  • Circe explained that Hecate was targeting the pillars, which were magical nodes created to restrain her; Shangri-La was under attack, and Olympus was the last pillar.
  • Diana insisted that Circe activate her power so they could save Shangri-La, while Su Ming agreed to go with her but worried Hecate might change her.
  • Su Ming hugged Diana, transformed Godslayer into a golden Frying Pan, and struck her unconscious.

Ch. 386Passing the Fake for Real

Deathstroke knocked Diana unconscious and sent her to Hell for protection while he prepared a trap for Hecate. Donna Troy arrived disguised as Wonder Woman, ready to lure Hecate into an ambush.

  • Deathstroke knocked Diana unconscious and persuaded Albera to take her to Mazikeen in Hell, despite Bobo's suspicions.
  • Su Ming told Batwoman about Luthor's stolen magic potion, and she agreed to cooperate with his plan.
  • Albera returned, and Su Ming explained that he would use an Amazon princess to draw Hecate out.
  • Donna Troy arrived through the Justice League's teleportation device and pretended to be Wonder Woman.

Ch. 387Reorganization

Donna joined Su Ming's group as Diana's replacement and prepared to travel with them to Shangri-La. Circe stayed behind and planned to hide while demons approached through the portal.

  • Donna greeted Circe and explained that she had left the Titans because she did not want to be caught in the gods' conflict.
  • Donna introduced herself to Albera and Su Ming, who told her the group had to leave for Shangri-La immediately.
  • Donna said Batwoman had briefed her and instructed her to follow Su Ming's command.
  • Su Ming reasoned that Batwoman had sent Donna as a safeguard against him causing trouble.
  • Albera opened a portal to Hell, and Su Ming advised Circe to hide before the group departed.

Ch. 388Spirit Dawn

Su Ming and his companions arrived in burning Shangri-La, where Spirit Dawn fought the monks’ spirits under the influence of Witch’s Mark. Su Ming planned to capture her alive, with Donna ready to control her using the Lasso of Persuasion.

  • A fleeing Mage asked Albera to use her portal, paid her with a gemstone, and emerged into danger on the other side before Albera shut the portal.
  • Su Ming and Bobo identified the purple figure destroying the monks’ spirits as Spirit Dawn, an Atlantean Enchantress and former Justice League member.
  • Albera said she could defeat Spirit Dawn but could not guarantee capturing her alive, and Donna insisted that Spirit Dawn should be spared.
  • Su Ming transformed Godslayer into a lasso and told Donna to ready her Lasso of Persuasion so they could capture Spirit Dawn.

Ch. 389Falling from the Sky

Su Ming studied Dawn’s combat weaknesses, then used Godslayer and the Cloak of Levitation to exhaust and incapacitate her. He dragged her back to the plaza unconscious, leaving Donna to carry out the next part of the plan to free Dawn from Hecate’s control.

  • Su Ming observed Dawn fighting the ghosts and memorized her abilities, equipment, and weaknesses.
  • Su Ming drew Dawn’s attention and tricked her into looking for Superman, then caught her with Godslayer.
  • Su Ming’s Cloak of Levitation dragged Dawn through the air and took her beyond the atmosphere, exhausting her.
  • Su Ming hurled Dawn into the ground, triggering an avalanche in the Himalaya Mountains.
  • Su Ming pulled the unconscious Dawn from the pit, while Donna looked resentfully at how little she had needed to do.

Ch. 390Trouble at the Bar

Su Ming’s group waited for the next marked witch after hiding Dawn, but Bobo learned that the Oblivion Bar had been destroyed. They found the bar burned down and its young patrons dead, while Su Ming approached a man still drinking in the corner.

  • Donna confronted Su Ming over his dangerous attack on Dawn, but he insisted it had been calculated and pressured Donna to follow his orders.
  • Albera confirmed that Dawn was hidden in Hell, and the group waited for news of the remaining mark holders.
  • Bobo reported that a purple woman had blown up the Oblivion Bar, so Su Ming assembled the group and teleported there.
  • The group found the bar burned to ruins, with the charred bodies of adolescent members of the Sisterhood of the Helping Hand scattered inside.
  • Bobo searched for Tracy and found no suspicious remains behind the counter, while Su Ming examined the corpses and then approached a man drinking in the corner.

Ch. 391Fire

Constantine recounted how a gathering of magical women turned into a disaster after Witch's Mark appeared. He identified Rebecca Castiel, also known as Witchfire, as the likely Possessor of the Mark.

  • Su Ming found Constantine at the ruined gathering place and asked him about the mission and the Possessor of the Mark.
  • Constantine described how the women had gathered to drink and complain because the broken Source Wall and the Deviants had made magic dangerous.
  • Donna confronted Constantine over his leering comments, then left to help Bobo clean up the corpses after Su Ming explained his joke.
  • Constantine said Rebecca Castiel, code-named Witchfire, had attended the gathering and was now the likely target of the Mark.

Ch. 392Godslaying Potion

Constantine told Su Ming that Hecate had possessed Witchfire and burned most of the young women at a ritual, then revealed that Luthor had obtained Tears of Extinction, a potion capable of killing gods. He declined Su Ming’s offer to help hunt for the remaining Marked Ones and left after sharing news about Tracy.

  • Constantine recounted how Hecate had possessed Witchfire during the girls’ ritual and killed many of them with flames.
  • Constantine explained that Batman had learned the stolen Tears of Extinction was a godslaying potion, and he suspected Luthor would use it through Cheetah.
  • Su Ming considered the danger to Aquaman and focused on finding another Marked One to weaken Hecate before the coming battle.
  • Su Ming invited Constantine to join the search, but Constantine refused and said he had other plans.
  • Constantine told Su Ming that Tracy had survived and Nightshade had taken her into the Shadow Plane.

Ch. 393Maya

Su Ming and his companions traveled to Maya to seek a prophecy grandmaster who could help them find the fourth Mark Possessor. The chapter left them in the magical plane’s royal palace gardens, where Su Ming prepared to buy Donna glowing ice cream.

  • Su Ming learned from Bobo that Tracy had survived and been taken by Nightshade to the Shadow Realm.
  • Albera said she would have to contact witches individually to search for the fourth Mark Possessor, but Bobo proposed using Nightblade to travel to Maya.
  • Bobo used Nightblade to open a portal, bringing Su Ming, Donna, and Albera to Maya, the plane of magic.
  • Bobo led the group through the royal palace gardens toward a friend who was a grandmaster of Prophecy Spell.
  • Donna wanted to try the magical snacks, but Bobo explained that Maya used silver, gold, or gemstones; Su Ming offered to buy her glowing ice cream.

Ch. 394Lady of the Lake

Su Ming and his companions sought the Lady of the Lake, Vivienne, to use her Prophecy Spell against Hecate’s threat to the Magic World. Vivienne agreed to divine the locations of the Possessors of Witch’s Mark, and the lake revealed several images.

  • Su Ming discovered the Cloak of Levitation had eaten the gems from Nabu’s wands, then used Strangle to make the Cloak stop rummaging through his belongings.
  • Su Ming traded the now-bare wands for ice cream, and Bobo led the group to a lake while calling for Vivienne.
  • Bobo summoned Vivienne with Nightblade, and she objected when he addressed her as the Ruler of Maya.
  • Su Ming explained that Hecate had returned and that witchcraft magic was failing, then asked Vivienne to use her Prophecy Spell.
  • Vivienne refused to divine several targets at once, but agreed to show where the Possessors of Witch’s Mark were, and images appeared in the lake.

Ch. 395Famous Swords

Su Ming and his companions examined Vivienne’s prophecy and her famous swords, then used Batwoman’s analysis to identify their next target, Black Orchid. They left Oblivion Bar for a rainforest, where Black Orchid’s connection to The Green could make her especially powerful.

  • Vivienne described a powerful wizard who could counter prophecy, and the group studied the image she had summoned from the lake.
  • Su Ming asked Vivienne to show him Excalibur and Arondight, but returned the ordinary weapons after finding they lacked magical powers.
  • Su Ming and his companions returned to Oblivion Bar, where he received Batwoman’s identification and coordinates for Alba Garcia, also known as Black Orchid.
  • Su Ming recognized Black Orchid’s powers and her ties to The Green and The Red, and the group prepared to face her in the rainforest.

Ch. 396Black Orchid

Alba, controlled by Hecate’s Witch’s Mark, reached the Parliament of Trees to destroy it, while Su Ming warned the ancient beings that Hecate sought to replace magic and remake the world’s balance. Su Ming attacked Black Orchid, but she evaded him by melting into plantlike sludge, forcing him and his allies to change tactics.

  • Alba reached the Parliament of Trees under Hecate’s control and prepared to destroy the ancient beings.
  • Su Ming persuaded the Parliament of Trees to hear him by threatening them with Molotov cocktails and Albera’s Hellfire.
  • Su Ming explained that Hecate wanted to become the eternal rule of witchcraft and disrupt the balance between The Green, The Red, and the Rotting Kingdom.
  • Albera warned Su Ming that Black Orchid had begun casting witchcraft, and he moved to attack her with Godslayer.
  • Black Orchid spotted Su Ming, melted into purple sludge to evade his dive, and returned to human form as he realized they would need to gang up on her.

Ch. 397Another Victory

Su Ming and his team fought Black Orchid in the Parliament of Trees, using fire and Godslayer to trap her. With Black Orchid contained, they were left to deal with the consequences of the battle and Swamp Thing’s unexplained absence.

  • Su Ming ordered Albera and Wonder Woman to keep Black Orchid away from the skies while he prepared to attack on the ground.
  • Black Orchid’s sorcery devastated the Parliament of Trees, while Swamp Thing failed to arrive.
  • Su Ming used Molotov cocktails to surround Black Orchid with fire and cut off her escape routes.
  • With Cloak’s help, Su Ming appeared beside Black Orchid and trapped her inside Godslayer, reshaped into an airtight metal shell.
  • Su Ming planned to keep Black Orchid sealed away and check whether she had lost consciousness, while Donna wondered whether she had contributed anything to the fight.

Ch. 398Diana Escapes from Hell

Su Ming and the others waited for Black Orchid to lose consciousness while considering how to deal with Hecate and the future of magic. Albera then revealed that Diana had escaped from Hell, and Su Ming set out to find her.

  • Su Ming, Donna, and Albera discussed their advantage over the remaining Marked One and debated whether to replace Hecate’s magic with The Upside-Down Man’s dark magic.
  • Albera received word that Diana had escaped from Hell after fighting Mazikeen.
  • Albera explained that Mazikeen’s hands were bound to her throne and that only the Seraphim Blade could free her from the ancient restraints.
  • Su Ming picked up Godslayer and told Albera to take the group to Hell to find out where Diana had gone.

Ch. 399Never Slaves

Diana woke in Mazikeen’s palace in Hell, furious that Deathstroke had left her behind and determined to return to her teammates. After fighting through Mazikeen’s guards, she confronted the Queen of Hell and attacked when Mazikeen called her a slave.

  • Diana woke from a humiliating dream in a bedroom in Hell and realized Deathstroke had sent her there after knocking her unconscious.
  • Diana armed herself and tried to leave, but Mazikeen’s demon guards attacked her.
  • Diana fought through the palace corridors until she reached Mazikeen’s throne room.
  • Mazikeen claimed Diana’s teammates had handed her over under an agreement that made her Hell’s slave and servant.
  • Diana drew Vulcan’s Sword, declared that Amazons would never be slaves, and lunged at Mazikeen.

Ch. 400The Complicated Demon Lord

Diana forced Mazikeen to reveal the way out of Hell, then entered the Gate of Thorns and used a painting in Dream's castle to return to Aiaia. She arrived to find Circe waiting in her cave, anticipating the benefits of the situation.

  • Diana bound Mazikeen with the Lasso of Truth and learned that the exit lay down the corridor in the opposite direction from where she had come.
  • After Diana left, Mazikeen ordered her elite guards to kill the lesser demons who had witnessed her humiliation.
  • Diana chose the Gate of Thorns and flew to Dream's castle, where Abel told her that Dream's paintings led to the places they depicted.
  • Diana entered a painting of Aiaia and found Circe waiting in her cave among several Magic Items.

Ch. 401The Smartest Man in the World

Diana escaped Hell and left Circe’s stronghold to find Deathstroke, while Circe and Luthor’s allies revealed their plan to exploit the marks and use the Door Handle to challenge the multiversal order. Luthor promised to show them the door behind the handle.

  • Circe told Diana that Deathstroke and the others had gone to Nanda Parbat and implied that Donna might be close to him, but Diana refused to be baited and flew off to find them.
  • Diana’s phone failed when she tried to contact Batwoman, so she continued toward Nanda Parbat while wondering how to confront Deathstroke and what would happen to Donna.
  • Circe watched Diana leave and celebrated that events were following the plan, but a hidden group revealed itself in the room.
  • Luthor said the marks’ energy would go to their final bearer and declared that he intended to use the Door Handle to transcend the multiverse’s rules.
  • Joker demanded that the Justice League be killed after Batwoman begged for mercy, and Luthor offered to show the group the door behind the handle.

Ch. 402Luthor's Genesis

Luthor explained how his vision of humanity’s future led him to betray the Justice League and begin a plan to remake the multiverse as its god. He outlined the forces and allies behind his Genesis, then assigned his detective ally the task of destroying the multiverse’s stars.

  • Luthor described a future where humanity endlessly slaughtered itself in pursuit of transcendence, and said he had changed that Timeline by leaving the Justice League and founding the Legion of Doom.
  • Luthor said he would destroy humanity shaped by entropy and create New Humans, using the Door Handle and the Invisible Spectrum to replace God's light.
  • Luthor revealed that Barry Allen unknowingly generated the Still Force for his plan while Joker kept criminals active and Barry running.
  • Luthor said he had recruited a man who understood the Dark Multiverse to help destroy the stars, despite neither of them trusting the other.
  • Luthor entrusted his detective ally with destroying the stars of the multiverse.

Ch. 403Heaven Attacks

Luthor set his plan in motion while Su Ming and his companions discovered that controlled angels were attacking Hell. The group resisted the angels’ commands, and Su Ming’s encounter with one left him suspecting that something had happened to God.

  • Luthor sent Cheetah and Black Manta to begin the third day of Genesis and invited Circe to help absorb Hecate’s power.
  • Luthor dismissed Circe’s concerns about Deathstroke, explaining that he believed Deathstroke would leave rather than interfere with his plans.
  • Luthor told Joker that Batwoman had cried before dying in the Future, prompting Joker to laugh uncontrollably.
  • Su Ming, Donna, Albera, and Bobo found Hell under attack by angels who controlled demons and commanded others to obey.
  • Su Ming’s group resisted the angels’ psychic control, and Su Ming killed an angel with the Nightfall Greatsword.
  • Su Ming considered the angels’ power and suspected that something had happened to God.
