Chapter Summaries

As the alien sea god’s invasion turned the Justice League into Aquatic Monsters and flooded Earth, Batwoman stayed behind to protect The Totality while Barry tried to save the badly injured Superman. Mera rescued Barry and Superman and led them toward an unknown escape route, while Sea-Calmer pursued M'gann and the Teen Titans.

• Barry rescued Superman from the Flood Demon, but seawater threatened to turn Barry into an Aquatic Monster as well.
• Batwoman trapped M'gann in the Boom Tube chamber and sent her to help the Titans, then remained in the flooded Hall of Justice to protect The Totality and restore communications.
• Barry and Superman contacted Batwoman while fleeing mutated Heroes; Superman reported that Sea-Calmer had altered his cells and that Barry was fighting off seawater-induced mutation.
• Swamp Thing seized Barry and Superman, but Mera cut them free with a Hard Water sword and revealed that Atlantis had sunk.

Nightshade used a rabbit’s life and soul to activate a Magic Circle that drained Earth’s poisonous seawater into the Dark Multiverse through a Colossus on the Source Wall. After the group returned to Earth, Su Ming entered a damaged alien ship and intervened when he found an old man attacking Donna.

Su Ming rescued Arthur from the Alien sea gods’ base and brought him back to the team, where Arthur revealed that the invaders had stolen most of his power and that Poseidon was imprisoned in the Tomb of the Gods. As Diana considered following the key to find Poseidon, Su Ming offered to explain the truth about the Alien Sea People himself.

• Su Ming entered the interrogation room, killed the two fishmen torturers, and freed Arthur after fumbling with the controls of the device holding him over a vat of filth.
• Su Ming and Arthur escaped through a blasted wall, and Natasha Irons flew them away aboard the team’s ship while Nu Tao cursed after them.
• Arthur told Diana that the Alien sea gods had stripped away most of his power and given it to Black Manta, then identified Diana’s scepter-like object as the key to the Tomb of the Gods.

• Mera led Barry and Superman to Arion’s tomb in the Sahara, and Barry cleared away the sand with a tornado despite his worsening transformation.
• Barry asked Superman to kill him if he fully turned into a fish-man, but Superman refused to give up on him.
