The sales office's interior was lavishly decorated, with gleaming marble floors, enormous crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, and elaborate decorative features adorning the walls.

A huge scale model of Hundred Willows Academy stood in the middle of the lobby, exquisitely crafted.

There was also a reception room on the right, fully furnished with rosewood tables and chairs, leather sofas, and a projection screen.

As soon as Fang Xiu entered, several colleagues in business attire turned to look at him.

Once they recognized him, a range of expressions crossed their faces.

After all, they were all in the work chat group, so they had all seen Fang Xiu's earlier announcement that he was quitting.

Fang Xiu ignored their gazes entirely and wandered around the sales office lobby, focusing mainly on the psychiatric hospital's administrative area. Nothing mattered more to him than uncovering the secrets of the supernatural.

Just then, a young man in a business suit hurried over. He had plain features, a somewhat thin build, and bulky black-framed glasses. It was Zhao Hao, who had called him earlier.

He lowered his voice and said anxiously, "Xiu, what took you so long? Wu Dahai's practically gone mad with anger. How about-"

Before Zhao Hao could finish, Fang Xiu cut him off. "Skyfucker, whatever it is, we'll talk later."

The character "Hao" in Zhao Hao's name consisted of "sun" above "sky," so the former Fang Xiu had jokingly called him Skyfucker. The current Fang Xiu chose to keep up his predecessor's habit.

"Xiu, you..."

Before Zhao Hao could finish, Fang Xiu had already strode away-toward the second floor of the sales office, to be precise.

The director's office wasn't in the psychiatric hospital's first-floor administrative area.

Zhao Hao glanced at Fang Xiu's retreating back, heaved a sigh, and hurried after him.

He thought Fang Xiu was heading upstairs to demand his pay from Wu Dahai. Worried that things might get out of hand, he decided to follow and keep an eye on him.

When Fang Xiu reached the second floor of the sales office, he also entered the second floor of the psychiatric hospital's administrative area.

Although the stairway entrances of the two buildings were in different places, their floor heights were roughly the same.

Before Fang Xiu could begin searching the second floor, an angry, agitated voice rang out.

"Fang Xiu! You still dare show up for work? I've already fired you! Do you understand?"

A balding, potbellied middle-aged man in a black suit and white shirt hurried over, jabbing a pudgy finger at Fang Xiu as he unleashed a furious tirade.

The second floor housed the sales office's administrative area, and Wu Dahai's outburst immediately drew the attention of several colleagues sitting at their computers.

Most wore gleeful expressions, eager to enjoy the show. They wanted to see Fang Xiu and Wu Dahai trade insults, or even come to blows.

Wu Dahai treated his subordinates harshly and was deeply unpopular. They didn't dare talk back to him themselves, but nothing would please them more than seeing someone else do it.

But the confrontation they had imagined never happened. Fang Xiu's expression didn't change at his boss's tirade. He couldn't even be bothered to waste words on Wu Dahai. While Wu Dahai was still cursing at him, Fang Xiu grabbed his shoulder, shoved him aside, and walked straight ahead.

Wu Dahai might have been fat, but he had no strength to go with it. Nor had he expected Fang Xiu, who had always been meek and submissive, to dare push him.

He stumbled and nearly fell, saving himself only by grabbing a nearby computer desk.

"You... you dared push me?! You've got some nerve!" Wu Dahai regained his footing, his face flushed with shock and anger.

When he noticed the other colleagues watching out of the corner of his eye, he felt even more humiliated.

"Outrageous! Absolutely outrageous! Security! Where's security?"

Wu Dahai wisely chose not to confront Fang Xiu directly. First, he couldn't beat him in a fight. Second, as a supervisor, getting into a brawl with a subordinate in front of everyone would spell the end of his career as manager.

Seething with anger, he continued cursing while calling security.

Fang Xiu ignored all of it. Under the others' bewildered gazes, he made a few rounds before heading toward the sales office's third floor.

The director's office wasn't on the second floor.

"Fang Xiu, you've got some nerve, pushing me like that! You..." Wu Dahai's expression suddenly changed mid-tirade. "Where are you going? Who said you could go to the third floor? Get back here!"

He pointed at several colleagues watching the spectacle and roared, "What are you standing around for? Go stop him!"

The colleagues he singled out reluctantly got to their feet, but by then Fang Xiu had already disappeared from the second floor and gone up to the third.

At the sight, Wu Dahai's expression shifted again and again, and he hurriedly called them back.

"Forget it. Come back. I'll go myself."

Dragging his bulky body along, he hurried after Fang Xiu toward the third floor.

Wu Dahai seemed extremely nervous, as though the third floor held some shameful secret.

Upon reaching the third floor, Fang Xiu immediately focused on a door a short distance away. The words "Director's office" were clearly written on it.

He strode toward the director's office, while Wu Dahai caught up behind him, panting heavily.

In reality, Wu Dahai had no idea Fang Xiu was heading for the director's office. All he saw was Fang Xiu making straight for the last office at the end of the third floor, and his expression changed drastically.

"Fang Xiu, get back here!"

The office door opened.

A man's angry curses and a woman's startled cry came from inside, followed by the sounds of clothes being pulled on.

Wu Dahai's face instantly went pale.

"It's over! It's all over!"

He hurriedly tore at his white shirt, yanking off two buttons, then ran like a madman toward the office and looked inside.

Fang Xiu was standing still, staring straight ahead.

In front of him stood a luxurious desk. The laptop and documents on it had already been thrown to the floor, replaced by a disheveled man and woman.

The man was thin, with sunken eyes and an unhealthy pallor, and his trousers were halfway down.

The woman had an attractive figure and carefully applied makeup. She wore a business skirt suit, and her long legs were clad in black stockings, though several large holes had been torn in them. Her high heels were nowhere to be seen.

Fang Xiu stared fixedly at the woman's black stockings-or, more accurately, at the desk in the psychiatric hospital director's office.

A sheet of parchment lay on that desk. The woman just happened to be positioned right over it.

"Who the fuck are you? Who said you could come in?" the man cursed as he hurriedly dressed.

The woman hid behind him like a frightened little bird, hastily covering herself with her clothes.

Fang Xiu knew both of them. The man was Wang Ziteng, the son of Hundred Willows Academy's developer.

The woman was Li Feifei, Hundred Willows Academy's star salesperson and the best-looking of all the women on the sales team.

The developer had established Hundred Willows Academy's sales team directly, so strictly speaking, Wang Ziteng was the son of Fang Xiu's ultimate boss.

"Wu Dahai! Didn't I fucking tell you that no one was allowed on the third floor?" Wang Ziteng shouted at Wu Dahai.

"Young Master Wang, please calm down, please. Fang Xiu's been acting like a madman today. As soon as he arrived, he attacked me, then charged straight up to the third floor without saying a word. I couldn't stop him.

"Look, I only bought this white shirt yesterday, and he's already torn it. It's my fault for being useless, but I'm getting old. I really couldn't stop him," Wu Dahai said, his face full of apology and fear.
