Work was over.
He went downstairs.
He walked into the courtyard.
The Lexus LX570 was parked where he had left it. A Toyota Avalon sat crosswise in front of it, blocking it completely. There was not even enough room to back out.
There were so many spaces in the courtyard at this hour, yet someone had chosen to park right here.
Wang Xiaoliang walked up to the Avalon, checked the phone number left on the windshield, and took out his phone to call.
"Sorry for the-"
"Hello? Need me to move the car? Coming, coming."
The voice on the phone sounded a little familiar.
Before he could think any further about it.
The cafeteria door opened.
A familiar figure walked out.
The man looked up.
They came face-to-face.
Both froze.
"Holy shit!" Fang Dongxu shouted at the top of his lungs. "Xiaoliang? What the actual fuck? What are you doing here?"
Fang Dongxu pointed at the Lexus 570 beside them, his eyes wide. "Your car?"
"Liu Xinyu's. I borrowed it."
Fang Dongxu's eyes rolled before he sucked in a sharp breath.
He looked Wang Xiaoliang up and down.
"You fucking... you're the new general manager?"
"Why the fuck are you fucking swearing so fucking much now?"
"How is this remotely fair?" Fang Dongxu slapped the Lexus's hood hard, his face full of resentment. "Liu Xinyu's playing favorites way too blatantly! When I came here, he made me a salesman. You show up, and you go straight to general manager!"
Wang Xiaoliang ignored his grumbling, opened the car door, and tossed his bag onto the passenger seat.
"Don't go, don't go!" Fang Dongxu grabbed the door. "What's the rush? We finally ran into each other. I'll call Mr. Gu tonight, and we can go for drinks."
