At nine thirty that evening, Li Lanxiang finished showering. Her hair was still wet, but she wasn't in the mood to blow-dry it.
She pulled a chair up to the desk, opened her phone, searched for "Understanding through Courtesy," tapped into it, and put in her earphones.
On the screen, Xiao Mo continued from the part about the Three-Wash Pavilion.
"I had the good fortune to watch a speech by President Li online. I thought you had something to do with the Three-Wash Pavilion." Xiao Mo leaned against the sofa, his tone relaxed. "But that's good. Young people really shouldn't casually invest in fields they aren't familiar with."
Li Lanxiang noticed a detail. When Xiao Mo said "good fortune," one corner of his mouth twisted slightly.
Good fortune? What was so fortunate about it?
Xiao Mo changed the subject. "Back to business. You invited me to record your first episode today, so we ought to have a topic to talk about."
Huang Xueli jumped in. "Of course we do. Today's topic is right here-let's talk about how to make money and invest in this day and age."
Wang Xiaoliang spread his hands. "But none of the three of us is a professional. Is that appropriate?"
Xiao Mo waved a hand. "The vast majority of people have to earn money. A lot of people are outsiders, but insiders too. When it comes to investing, there are even more outsiders, along with a whole bunch who pretend to know what they don't."
Huang Xueli picked up quickly. "Right, so we'll talk from an ordinary person's perspective. Whether we're right or wrong, everyone can make up their own mind!"
Wang Xiaoliang said, "That works too. If we're right, give us a listen. If we're wrong-just pretend the three of us let one rip."
