With a crisp, pleasant chime, an arrogant voice rang out. "Make way! I'm reserving a grilled fish!"
As the words fell, everyone saw a Gold Soul Coin wedged into a crack in the grill, trembling and humming.
Quite a few people in line turned around in annoyance at the newcomer. It was Xu Sanshi.
Xu Sanshi paid no attention to the muttering around him. He swaggered through the queue and reached the cart, sweeping out a hand-only to grab empty air.
He stared in surprise at the boy who had pulled back, "protecting" the grilled fish in his hands. His eyes widened. "Kid, take a good look! That's a Gold Soul Coin. A Gold Soul Coin!"
"Get in line!" Huo Yuhao frowned and pointed to the back of the queue.
His barbecue stall always had a limit: fifty fish a day at most, then he packed up. If Xu Sanshi cut in, it would break the rules and leave someone farther back empty-handed.
