The forest ahead had been completely devastated. Surely no plant or animal could have survived this.
Madara Uchiha, radiating an aura of darkness, was no ordinary opponent.
Dust billowed, and wood splinters exploded through the air.
The Asura of the Ninja World launched himself forward, sending everything around him toppling.
The Purple-Clad Woman watched.
She watched that black-clad monster, his murderous intent pouring off him in tangible waves.
Surrounded by that almost solid killing intent, she stood gracefully before him without a trace of panic.
"How fascinating. It's been so long since... I felt such wholehearted joy." The Purple-Clad Woman smiled, her words tumbling out one by one as though urged onward. "The feeling of my blood boiling... stopped thousands of years ago..."
The Purple-Clad Woman extended her left hand and began beckoning to Madara Uchiha, who had been steeped in darkness and lost his reason.
She looked like a demon from the Netherworld, summoning the living.
"Come on~ Come on~" she said.
She kept beckoning, drawing in Madara Uchiha, who had nothing left but his instinct to fight.
Madara Uchiha's pitch-black figure leaped upward.
The Purple-Clad Woman and Madara Uchiha moved at entirely different speeds and heights.
Purple and black clashed repeatedly in midair, separated, then flashed forward again.
Everything around them lay shattered and scattered, and the sound of fragments hitting the ground was even more wretched than the sight of the two combatants.
Elsewhere, Muye and Silver Moon, who had been hurled far away by the earthshaking commotion, finally regained consciousness.
Muye struggled to his feet with a groan of "Ugh!" Staring blankly at the terrifying Madara Uchiha in the distance, he asked in bewilderment, "What's wrong? What happened to Dad?"
"Dad is... so powerful..."
Silver Moon looked just as stunned and was about to say something.
