Black Zetsu carried Yin, who had cried himself sleepy, back to the bedroom, dug out the first aid kit, and gave his wounds a simple dressing.
Sitting on the edge of the bed, Yin took the warm towel and wiped his face. With practiced ease, he also pressed the steaming towel over his eyes to soothe the discomfort of their slight swelling from crying.
He casually planted his foot on Black Zetsu's knee and tilted his toes, exposing the bloody scrape on his ankle from some unknown training exercise.
Black Zetsu glanced at it, sighed, and held the child's ankle as he wound layer after layer of bandage around it.
Then a little hand with "Properly So" written on it appeared before his eyes, the now-cooler towel resting in its palm.

Black Zetsu sighed helplessly again and accepted the lukewarm towel. Then he picked up the cup beside him, checked its temperature against the side, and handed it over.
Yin accepted it as naturally as could be and slowly drank from the large cup of warm water, his little red curls sticking up.
His head kept nodding. He really did look utterly exhausted.
He looked much more docile when he was this drowsy. At least it was better than all that crying.
Black Zetsu made that assessment inwardly, finished tending the wounds, and gave the child's slender shin a squeeze.
When this child first came into my hands, these little legs weren't even strong enough to stand on. Now he can run all over the place and even start training...
Mm, he really is growing nicely!
*It looks like he'll grow into an adult before long. Then... he can make a wish to the Evil God and get me a pair
