[Introduction: Vespiquen resembled a bee. Her eyes were crimson, with white pupils and a ruby-like structure above them. A pair of tiny wings sat on each orange patch beside her face. Her arms and torso were black. Her lower body flared outward and curved inward at the bottom, with alternating yellow and black stripes. From below, it looked like a honeycomb. Pale yellow, pointed structures resembling insect bodies were concealed underneath. She also had two black feelers. Vespiquen were exclusively female, with no corresponding male Pokémon.

Vespiquen's body served as a nest for her children, and the holes in it could nurture young bees. She raised her children on the nectar gathered by Combee. When danger arose, her children would fly out of the six nest chambers and fight back. Each colony had only one Vespiquen. She could release various pheromones to freely command the larvae inside her body in battle against enemies. Her children would risk their lives for her, and the more pheromones a Vespiquen could release, the more Combee she could command. After ordering her subordinates to build a nest, if anyone foolishly intruded, she would eliminate the intruder and turn them into food for herself.]
