"Meichuan Kuzi, can you sense what happened here?" Lin Yi asked with a frown.
"I can't." Meichuan Kuzi shook his head. "This Sea Fog feels strangely familiar, as though I know everything here."
"Hmm." Lin Yi nodded slightly. His pupils suddenly contracted, and wariness filled his eyes.
He kept feeling that something was wrong.
"My lord, this fog seems poisonous," Meichuan Kuzi warned.
Lin Yi nodded. Of course he knew the fog was dangerous, but he had no way to stop it.
The fog seemed to contain some kind of power governed by laws, leaving him unable to dispel it with his martial techniques.
Before long, the fog spread up to their ankles. Both men felt their strength drain away, and their eyelids gradually grew heavy.
"My lord, we can't hold on much longer," Meichuan Kuzi said with difficulty through gritted teeth.
"Don't worry about me. Retreat now, find somewhere safe to hide, and wait for rescue," Lin Yi commanded in a low voice.
His head was swimming, and his vision grew increasingly blurred. He knew that before much longer, he would probably lose consciousness entirely.
"But what about you, my lord?" Meichuan Kuzi asked anxiously.
"Don't worry. I'm fine for now. This fog can't hurt me." Lin Yi gave a bitter smile and reassured him, "I'll get you out of here first."
Meichuan Kuzi hesitated for a moment, then could only sigh. "All right."
He knew he would only become a burden if he stayed, so he had to retreat immediately.
Holding Lin Yi's arm, Meichuan Kuzi struggled toward the side of the ship. His steps were unsteady, and each one seemed to exhaust every ounce of strength he had.
Seeing this, Lin Yi couldn't help reaching out to catch hold of Meichuan Kuzi. "Support me. I'll walk slowly."
