"Who's calling me?"
Almost the instant Jiang Yu finished speaking, the Golden Automaton head spoke up, only to freeze immediately afterward.
He had no idea how he had said those words. It was as though everything in his body had slipped out of his control, merely receiving an ancient signal from the distant universe and spitting it out in an instant.
"Huh?"
The Golden Automaton head let out a deeply bewildered sound.
"What am I saying?"
The Golden Automaton head felt as though his cooling system had completely stopped working, yet he could not get enough of that fleeting experience.
The instant he received that signal, he felt as though his processing power had undergone something approaching an "ascension." Unfortunately, the sensation had lasted only an instant, not even as long as a human blink.
But to him, that feeling had truly been wonderful, as though he were about to become a god.
Not far away, Jiang Yu and the other two stared at the Golden Automaton head in confusion, their expressions somewhat peculiar.
On this first meeting, the Golden Automaton head had not made a good impression on them. Though he could not quite be put in the same category as Scott, he had certainly dealt their minds a shock.
Perhaps this old thing needed a new central processor. After spending time with him, Sushang could only think that he was nuts. At the same time, she thought it was fortunate that he had no body. Otherwise, there was no telling what might happen.
Though she had never lived through that era, merely seeing how this Golden Automaton head behaved was enough for even her knowledge-starved mind to exercise its imagination and form a rough picture of the Golden Automaton Rebellion.
As that bizarre picture grew clearer, Sushang felt
