Everyone else was focused on Hanya and Xueyi and had not noticed, with the exception of Mr. Tail, but Jiang Yu had felt it very clearly: Huohuo's hand gripping his arm had trembled.
He turned to look at Huohuo, narrowing his eyes slightly.
Building up her courage at the Fragmentum Factory had helped a little, but so far, it did not seem to have helped as much as he had imagined.
Still, that made sense. After all, Huohuo had already worked at the Ten-Lords Commission for so long. Given her personality, she surely would have tried to build her courage herself while doing that sort of work.
Thinking of it that way, compared with Huohuo's past behavior, the results of her courage training at the Fragmentum Factory were already quite encouraging.
The sudden shout from behind had inevitably frightened Huohuo, but she quickly realized that it had come from Lady Xueyi and let out another long sigh of relief.
Looking up and finding Jiang Yu watching her, she raised a hand to scratch her head and gave him a slightly goofy smile.
Only then did Huohuo say to everyone, "Um... everyone... we should go."
"Mm, okay," Jiang Yu said. "I just had a new idea that I need to discuss with Bailu."
Jiang Yu had no particular opinion on whether to leave, and no one else said much either, so everyone followed Huohuo out.
As they walked, Little Gui said, "Hauntings, Heliobi, possession...? I feel like someone stuck a
