"Aha! There's only one of me now! We did it!"
March 7th's delighted voice reached Jiang Yu's ears. He slowly opened his eyes, just in time to see the Astral Express Crew stirring awake, along with Theocracy Sunday's enormous body.
Jiang Yu narrowed his eyes slightly, nowhere near as excited as March 7th.
Because... the fact that he still existed meant their success was nothing more than an illusion granted by the Dreamscape. Their attempt had failed.
But before Jiang Yu could tell the others, Theocracy Sunday moved. He raised his baton and faced them like a god:
"You have broken free of Order's dream..."
"We've slept long enough!" March 7th declared. "Time to see how cranky the Nameless get when they wake up!"
Facing those who had struggled free of the dream, Theocracy Sunday said, "Without Order, how can the weak be virtuous?"
Then he gently lowered his baton. Music sounded from nothingness, and notes descended, dancing like sprites. Their choral voices became weapons, crashing toward the Astral Express Crew like waves.
The crew scattered to evade them, then began battling the musical sprites. As for whose methods were the most unusual, that was Jiang Yu, of course.
Despite realizing their attempt to break out of the dream had failed, Jiang Yu still threw himself into battle at once.
The boy flew into the sky, dodging Theocracy Sunday's attack, then reached out a hand. "Sword, come!"
One of the sprites formed from musical notes inexplicably shuddered, then somehow flew toward Jiang Yu's palm. While the others were still fighting these things, Jiang Yu already had one in his grasp.
The kid did not care whether what he held was actually a sword. Or perhaps he was already used to treating all sorts of things as treasured blades-once the "weapon"
