Above the water mist, Shawn stood suspended in the air, his purple-black robes billowing. He held the Lightning Long Halberd at an angle, a floating Pentagram ring behind his back.

More than a dozen dazzling Playing Cards, their halos shimmering, circled him like stars, or armored guards stationed on either side. Then they all began to flash.

The silver-haired elder below had belittled him just moments ago, but that had merely been trash talk meant to unsettle an opponent during battle.

Anyone who had lived a hundred years was shrewd.

Anyone who could live a hundred years was cautious and afraid of dying.

Seeing Shawn suddenly unleash a new move, he immediately struck the ground repeatedly with the even more ancient silver-white staff in his hand.

The hurricane shield surrounding him instantly spun faster, sweeping up sand and stones.

It even formed a typhoon eye overhead, where clearly visible, conical wind blades slowly took shape.

The wind blades rose, grinding against the lightning blades and electric arcs filling the air above, a metallic screech ringing out again and again.

Shawn's gaze sharpened. He gave his opponent no more time to prepare.

The Playing Cards had already adjusted their aim and began activating one after another in sequence.

Six Blue Water Pythons surged out with a roar. Moving in pairs and linking head to tail, they formed a hundred-foot python that crashed toward the wind shield amid towering splashes and crackling lightning.

Right behind it, three purple Rainbow Swords, condensed to the utmost, pierced through the air like a trident, following close behind the enormous python.

Finally, five more Cards glowed with an eerie green light, looking ready to fire death rays at any moment.

Shawn had made up his mind. No fancy technique-just sustained firepower concentrated on a single target.
