The speeches from twenty or thirty Ministers for Magic drove the atmosphere to a fever pitch.

The French and Japanese Ministers' expressions changed drastically, while the two female Ministers from Russia and America looked increasingly grim.

Morris and Murakami Shio were less composed. They wanted to stand up immediately and refute the claims, "exposing" England's hypocrisy.

But suddenly, both felt a dragonlike gaze settle on them. Its overwhelming pressure made their hair stand on end.

One after the other, they craned their heads to find its source and immediately met Shawn's eyes, blazing like torches and stars.

That gaze should have been as warm as summer, yet it chilled them as though they had plunged into an ice cave in December.

They hesitated, then quietly lowered themselves back into their seats, their calves still trembling.

They had dared to act so brazenly earlier because they had evidence and sound arguments, and because they were not afraid of Dumbledore, that good-tempered White Wizard, losing his temper.

But now England had even stronger evidence and arguments, backed by Shawn's undisguised warning.

The two Ministers who had been so righteously indignant suddenly lost their nerve.

According to their intelligence, this new power broker in England might look elegant and composed in his white clothes.

But he had started out as a Dark Lord!

In perfect unison, the two looked up at the purple aurora overhead.

Earlier, he had said he would strike the United States representative with purple lightning, then done exactly that. He was ruthlessly decisive!

If they dared to cause trouble again, they might be...

Seeing that the two knew better, Shawn withdrew his "calm" gaze.

Barty was still enthusiastically responding to everyone. Though delighted, he was also surprised by the sudden support from the Ministries of Magic of Northeastern Europe.
