"All right. The scenery along the way is too good to miss anyway."
Shawn shook his head slightly.
The older generation loved these little rituals, just like taking the "Express" to Hogwarts and crossing the lake by boat when entering the school.
After reflecting on that, he asked another question.
"Does Asgard really exist? What about the World Tree and the Rainbow Bridge?"
Old Fawley smiled kindly.
"Fairy tales, like legends, have been embellished by later generations. They become more alluring, but lose a great deal of the truth."
Before Shawn could grow too disappointed, Old Fawley added,
"Asgard may not be as fantastical as a realm growing on the World Tree, but it is still magnificent.
Sadly, before you came along, we had no way to restore Asgard to its former glory, leaving it buried deep beneath the glaciers and frozen earth."
Old Fawley kept stopping halfway through his explanations, as though teasing his grandchildren.
Shawn gave the old man a speechless look. But the man knew things he did not, so in the end, he could only indulge these little games and ask,
"What requirements are there? A ritual? A bloodline? Or a key to open it?"
Old Fawley finally grew a little more serious and sat up from beneath the blanket.
"All of those."
Shawn raised his eyebrows.
"That demanding?"
"If it weren't difficult, the Pure Land Society wouldn't have spent a thousand years trying and still failed to fully inherit what our ancestors left behind."
"Then what exactly do we need? Tell me first."
Old Fawley shook his head.
"I don't know exactly what's needed. You'll have to look for yourself. Once you see it, you'll know."
Shawn no longer wanted to talk. He simply tipped his head back to watch the flowing aurora.
