"Chief, they're being far too arrogant! I request permission to fight!"
A sixth-year half-blood Slytherin named Victor spoke indignantly behind Shawn.
Shawn turned and fixed him with a hard stare.
Alice, who stood beside Victor, said coldly,
"Victor, when you're weak, obedience should be the only rule you need to know. Next time, keep your mouth shut unless the Chief tells you otherwise!"
Shawn gave Alice an approving glance, then turned back to watch the Gryffindors standing on the tables, making ridiculous gestures to provoke him from above.
The Twins in particular were still gleefully testing how close they could come to getting themselves killed.
"Hey, Shawn, how about coming up here for a dance? I can play the girl!"
"Hahaha, George, that's a brilliant idea!"
Shawn chuckled and drew his wand. Holding its red handle between two fingers, he lightly tapped its end with his thumb and gave it an elegant flick.
A magnificent throne formed slowly from blue water, wreathed in purple lightning. Once Shawn stepped onto it, an enormous water python took shape beneath it.
The water python carried the throne slowly into the air, lifting it above the students hopping around on the long tables.
Shawn looked down upon them with overwhelming majesty and spoke coldly.
"Gryffindor is renowned for its bravery, and today I've finally seen it for myself. But your bravery can only be called suicidal recklessness!"
Shawn's dazzling spell genuinely frightened quite a few Gryffindors.
These fools, who never learned their lesson, finally remembered his glorious feat of single-handedly defeating Slytherin on the train.
Seeing Shawn eye them with ill intent, the Twins ducked their heads and slipped behind the crowd.
But Kenneth Toller, a seventh-year student leading the troublemakers, flew into a rage.
"Shawn, don't think the Head of House's authorization gives you the right to criticize us! We've already signed a joint petition. You won't be smug for much longer!"
Percy stepped forward and said sternly,
"Kenneth, stand down. Listen to Shawn announce the new rules."
Kenneth pointed at Percy's nose and shouted,
"You traitor to Gryffindor! Gryffindor will never bow to Slytherin!"
Shawn looked down at him and said mildly,
"So you refuse to submit?"
Kenneth tilted his head up to look at Shawn and punched a fist into the air.
"Don't think these flashy tricks can scare me! Even if I'm no match for you, I still have teammates. If I fall, thousands more will charge at you in my place!"
Shawn rubbed his nose. Why do I feel like the villain here?
He stopped looking at Kenneth and swept his gaze over the others, radiating authority.
"Who else refuses to submit? Step forward together."
The Gryffindors below exchanged looks. In the end, more than a dozen bold students still stepped forward.
"We refuse! We're brave warriors! We'll never bow to you!"
Shawn rested one hand on an armrest and leaned lazily against the throne's back, replying noncommittally,
"Very good. Admirable courage. But in this world, strength has the final say. Draw your wands!"
The dozen or so Gryffindors swallowed. They all knew a fight was inevitable, so they drew their wands with trembling hands.
Shawn had to maintain his imposing image and keep the throne and water python functioning, leaving him unable to divide his attention to fight.
Instead, he waved a hand, and three dazzling playing cards flew out of the Ring to hover behind the throne.
The three cards spun rapidly, flashing with flowing light. Their brilliant blue-and-purple trails formed something like a halo above Shawn's head.
Combined with the enormous, fearsome water python and the magnificent throne,
Shawn truly looked like a god descending into the world.
The Gryffindors who had just mustered all their courage nearly buckled at the knees.
They were reckless, not stupid.
Kenneth shouted at the top of his lungs,
"Shawn, that's unsporting! You're using alchemical items!"
Shawn replied scornfully,
"You're far too naive. There's no such thing as fairness on a battlefield."
With that, he waved his hand as though swatting a fly.
The playing cards blazed with light. Three thick water pythons burst out of their halos amid great splashes, lunging ferociously at the dozen or so Gryffindors.
Since Kenneth and the others had dared to step forward, they clearly had some confidence in their fighting abilities.
Though they were now a little intimidated, battle had begun, leaving no room for fear. They each cast their best spells.
"Petrificus Totalus!"
"Incendio!"
"Protego!"
Some erected defensive shields, while others attacked the water pythons with spells.
Splash!
Blue and red spells struck the water pythons. Though they sent sprays of water flying, they could not stop the pythons' relentless assault.
The three water pythons slammed into the blue shields, sending ripples across their surfaces.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Seeing five or six shields shatter in succession, Kenneth turned in alarm and shouted for help from the onlookers.
"What are you standing around for? Come help!"
He hurriedly cast "Protego Totalum" himself.
Unlike the Shield Charm, which provided a single, individual defense, this defensive spell was sustained and could be reinforced by multiple people.
It was very difficult to learn, so Kenneth did have some ability. No wonder he had dared to lead the troublemakers.
Five or six Gryffindors immediately stepped forward to pour magic into it, but they still struggled desperately to hold out.
They were facing three water pythons, after all.
Back on the train, just one water python had put seven or eight older Slytherins through hell.
A Gryffindor suddenly remembered something and hurriedly shouted,
"Watch the water under your feet! Anyone who knows a Transfiguration Spell, build us a platform!"
Well, they had learned from Slytherin's painful experience during the last brawl on the train.
Seeing the battle reach a stalemate, Shawn smiled. He was no gentleman, so he waved a hand behind him.
"Attack!"
Alice had gradually developed an understanding with Shawn and naturally knew what to do.
She drew her wand, pointed it diagonally skyward, and called to the other Slytherins,
"Wherever the Chief's wand points, charge with me!"
The nine Slytherins immediately felt their blood surge. Even the four girls abandoned their reserved elegance, their faces flushed with excitement.
Ten Slytherins rushed forward to stand before the throne and unleashed a volley of spells.
"Expelliarmus!"
"Diffindo!"
Ten multicolored spells shot through the gaps between the water pythons and struck the blue shield together.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Seeing the shield on the verge of collapse, the Slytherins laughed wildly.
"Hahaha, die, you idiots!"
"Defying the Chief? You're asking for death!"
The other Gryffindors had already been worrying about their housemates. Seeing their opponents act so arrogantly, two students in the crowd quietly drew their wands.
"Petrificus Totalus!"
"Densaugeo!"
Sure enough, it never paid to get too cocky. Two Slytherins were hit immediately.
Alice hurriedly ordered the others to put up defenses.
At this stage of the fight, fairness was naturally out of the question.
Seeing more and more Gryffindors join the battle, Shawn shook his head slightly. He still wasn't strong enough.
He gently raised Kunikuzushi, the wand between his fingers.
A stream of water carried him down from the throne. Then the throne merged into the water python, transforming into an enormous python over ten meters long.
The giant python immediately charged at the opposing side with unparalleled ferocity.
Shawn had spent several days studying the anatomy of pythons. The giant python he personally constructed now was more solid and lifelike.
The massive water python opened its enormous jaws and sank its sharp, lightning-wreathed fangs into the shield.
The blue light of the Protego Totalum shield shook violently, teetering on the brink of collapse. Kenneth broke out in a desperate sweat.
He wanted to call for reinforcements again, but the next instant, the enormous water python struck the shield with its tail. With the other three water pythons attacking alongside it, the shield was forcibly shattered.
The shield broke apart piece by piece, its magical fragments drifting away in the air.
Just then, the three smaller water pythons also exhausted their magic and dissolved into great pools of water.
Like a dragon returning to the sea, the enormous water python swept through the water, constantly drawing the Gryffindors involved in the battle into its belly.
Shawn had made no effort to filter out the lightning-type element.
And so...
"Aaah, bluh, bluh!"
"Glug, glug!"
Every student inside the giant python had twitching limbs, hair standing on end, and slurred speech. They also swallowed plenty of water.
It was a miserable sight.
Shawn stepped out ahead of the crowd. The ten Slytherins lined up behind him, eyes blazing with fervor, heads high and chests out.
Shawn leisurely tapped his wand against his left palm. Though he no longer had a throne to embellish his presence, the pressure he exuded was even greater.
He addressed the dumbstruck students coldly.
"Now, I'm going to announce Gryffindor's new rules. Who refuses to submit? Who objects?"
----The wicked dividing line----
[PS: This is a bit long, so I'm not putting it in the author's note.]
Phew, 100,000 words already. Dear readers who've made it this far, if you think this book is good, please lend me your support. Add it to your bookshelf, tap the update reminder, and leave a five-star review or a little gift. Let Juntong know you're all still here with me, so I'll have more motivation to keep writing.
Also, the protagonist is a king, not gay! He just enjoys teasing the prickly Draco. There's no female lead; the protagonist shines all on his own.
There's GGAD as a side pairing. If you want to see other side pairings, please leave a comment. Juntong is very easy to talk to, and I'll consider adding them as long as they don't interfere with the outline.
Thank you all for reading. Love you!
