Because of the Triwizard Tournament's Second Task, Hogwarts had given everyone the entire day off. The competition ended at noon.
Some young wizards headed to Hogsmeade together to shop, while others returned to school.
Some parents, accompanied by their children, toured the school they had not visited in years, reminiscing about their youth.
Now, throughout ancient Hogwarts, along the Covered Bridge, inside the courtyard clock tower, and before portraits and statues,
wizarding families strolled about, pointing things out in a scene full of warmth.
A little witch with a ponytail pulled her mother over to a suit of armor displayed beside the path and said with innocent enthusiasm,
"Mum, look at this armor! Sometimes when I walk past, its visor opens and closes, clacking away to scare me."
Her mother smiled fondly and reached out to ruffle her daughter's hair before saying gently,
"Sweetheart, this armor means no harm. When I was at school, it even stuck out a leg and tripped a redheaded idiot running past."
"Wow, really? Who was it? Who?"
Not far from the mother and daughter, a young Gryffindor lion boasted to his father,
"Dad, Hogwarts has loads of interesting places now. I bet you didn't have them in your day."
His father was probably a Gryffindor too. Returning to school had brought back his old adventurous nature.
He slung an arm around his son's shoulders like a friend and said excitedly,
"Oh! Really? Then hurry up and show me."
"Sure, sure! I'll take you to the Unforgettable Tonight Detention Room first. That place is our worst nightmare now."
"What a strange name! Never mind, hurry up and let me see..."
As Shawn walked along, he listened to the older girls and younger boys excitedly telling their parents about all their wonderful adventures and heroic deeds
