Mysterio hurried to Earth's core and was stunned by the sight before him.
Mercer had actually turned himself into a huge cocoon, though it was only as tall as an ordinary person.
"Quentin, what is it?"
Mercer's voice came from within.
"Boss, you can still sense what's outside?" Mysterio couldn't help asking. "What's happening to you...?"
"My body is restructuring itself," Mercer continued. "My mind isn't restricted."
"This is so bizarre..."
"I came to bring you an Infinity Stone," Mysterio said. "This is the only one you're missing, right?"
"An Infinity Stone? Right, all I'm missing is the Power Stone."
As he spoke, golden energy streamed from the cocoon. Mysterio hurriedly held out the stone in his hand.
The Power Stone floated forward, paused outside the cocoon, then finally merged into it.
Whoosh!
A sudden sound of inhalation.
Everything around them stopped moving at that moment.
For no apparent reason, Mysterio felt a chill of terror rise from deep within him.
Then six-colored light enveloped the glowing cocoon before him.
First it covered the surface, then seeped inside.
Finally, the cocoon began to crack.
A man stepped out. In just one month, his short hair had grown long, and that long hair consisted of six colors.
A layer of armor covered his muscles, seemingly made of the same material as the bodies of the Celestials!
Mercer moved a little, and the armor receded, returning him to his previous appearance.
His eyes had been closed when he stepped out. As his words faded, he opened them, and a sharp gleam shone from within.
Mysterio felt as though everything about him had been laid bare. He couldn't hide a single thing.
"The six Infinity Stones are pretty impressive, but this Soul Stone won't do. I'll need a local one after all."
