After another two days, they finally climbed onto Withered Cliff. The instant they set foot on it, a sense of primal wilderness surged over them like a tide.
Divine light flickered in Li Dao's eyes as he looked up at the Kunpeng Nest, which had long since lost its luster.
It seemed like a castle in the air, ethereal and elusive.
"Are we going up there?"
Qing Shu had also spotted the Kunpeng Nest and asked Li Dao curiously.
"That isn't the real Kunpeng Nest. Legend says the Kunpeng Nest lies in the divine realm. The one overhead, with its depleted runes and faded divine light, looks more like a projection of the True Nest."
"There should be a passage there leading to the True Nest Location. Your sister might be inside."
"Let's hurry!"
Qing Shu nodded and immediately followed Li Dao, climbing upward with all her strength. Everyone they met along the way stepped aside for them.
His earlier display of striking the mountain to frighten the tiger had clearly worked wonders.
After several days of travel, the two of them and their tiger soon drew close to the nest overhead.
The higher Li Dao and Qing Shu climbed, the more keenly they felt their own insignificance.
Yet when they stepped onto the rocky cliff, the enormous Kunpeng Nest they had seen before vanished. Only dense chaos energy flowed around them.
Qing Shu stood beside him, her face full of admiration as she looked at Li Dao.
"Brother Li Dao, you're incredible. You really were right!"
Li Dao nodded slightly and surveyed the rocky cliff. It was barren and scorched black, without the slightest trace of life. Mist shrouded its surroundings, rosy light flickered in and out of sight, and mysterious fluctuations spread through the air.
