Li Dao's knees bent slightly despite himself. The sea beneath him exploded ten feet into the air, and mystic light flickered ceaselessly over his body as he forcibly withstood the pressure.
Hum! With a sharp ring, a Sea God Phantom appeared once more, radiating golden light, its golden eyes like two blazing suns. Compared to its previous appearance, however, it was far more powerful.
Space screamed, and seawater began surging backward. With the Sea God at the center, all waters bowed in submission, while sea creatures on every side chanted his name.
The phantom slowly turned its gaze toward Li Dao, ignoring the dark red chains overhead. In an utterly impassive voice, it said, "You see a god and refuse to kneel. You deserve execution!"
Boom! As though its words had become law, energy as wild as the ocean poured down with its emotionless declaration. Its voice thundered across ten thousand miles.
Boom! Crack, crack! Space shattered all around Li Dao. A muffled grunt escaped his lips as a stone mountain seemed to descend upon his shoulders, forcing his knees to bend.
"You want me to kneel before you? What the hell do you think you are?" The divine light in Li Dao's eyes grew ever brighter.
He swept his sleeve, and runes flickered across his body before falling into the void, sending ripples spreading outward.
