Jun Moxiao and Shi Hao continued exploring deeper into the Ancient Mine. The farther they went, the more sinister and terrifying it became. Gales formed from the chilling winds lashed at them from time to time, accompanied by ghostly wails and demonic howls, while dark shadows flitted about like ghosts.
The God-Striking Stone cried out all along the way, "Big brothers, this is way too terrifying!"
Little Pagoda released Chaos Sword Qi, scattering wave after wave of dark shadows, and said smugly, "With Lord Pagoda here, what the hell are you scared of, little stone?"
Jun Moxiao said, "Relax, God-Striking Stone. We can handle things even scarier than this."
Remembering the weirdness and ominousness aboard the Ancient Ship, Shi Hao told the God-Striking Stone, "We should have woken you up back then and had you fight the weirdness and ominousness alongside us. That would have shown you what real terror looked like."
Jun Moxiao remembered the Imperial Butterfly and asked Shi Hao, "Where's your Imperial Butterfly? Why has she been sleeping on your head all this time?"
Shi Hao explained, "Back in the Immortal Ancient Land, she ate a huge amount of treasures and spirit medicines, then fell asleep. I reckon she'll break through to Heavenly God the next time she wakes up."
Jun Moxiao chuckled. "It feels like you're raising a daughter."
Little Pagoda said cheekily, "The Imperial Butterfly has always stayed with Shi Hao and never left him. She really is like his daughter. Besides, when she takes human form, she's an adorable little girl, and quite a pretty one, too."
Shi Hao said helplessly, "Now that you've put it that way, I can't even argue. That really is how it is."
The God-Striking Stone snickered mischievously. "Then make the Imperial Butterfly your bed-warming maid someday!"
