Two thousand years later, in the Strange World, the Purple Ruins Universe was an ancient realm whose volume of spacetime was scarcely smaller than that of the Shrouding the Heavens universe. The Strange World's main spacetime structure consisted of the overlapping Thirty-Three Heavens: thirty-three worlds of life personally forged by the one who had opened this realm. They existed in parallel, side by side, providing a home for more than ninety percent of the living beings in this ancient realm.
Beyond the Thirty-Three Heavens lay an incomparably vast and desolate void. Its laws were cold and violent, and the primordial energy of heaven and earth was scarce.
