After Great Emperor Fuxi's Attainment of the Dao, peace reigned throughout heaven and earth.
Just as in those ages of the Primordial Era when an emperor walked the world, no one contended for Attainment of the Dao while a Great Emperor reigned, and no one dared slaughter the universe's inhabitants and challenge the reigning emperor's authority.
All the prodigies who had a chance of achieving Attainment of the Dao chose to seal themselves away in seclusion, unwilling to waste their time in an age when the Great Dao suppressed them.
One day, more than thirteen hundred years after Great Emperor Fuxi's Attainment of the Dao, beings with profound cultivation throughout the universe suddenly sensed inexplicable fluctuations in the laws of the myriad Daos. The firmament trembled, and the entire universe seemed to grow heavier.
People suspected these fluctuations might have come from Great Emperor Fuxi and Chaos Great Emperor cultivating or fighting. After all, when beings at that level clashed, even the slightest friction could seem like a major event to the world.
What the world did not know, however, was that the laws of the myriad Daos had fluctuated because more than thirty Extreme Dao Supremes had crossed the Two Worlds Gate and descended into the Shrouding the Heavens Universe within the span of a few quarter-hours.
Over the years, these former Forbidden Zone Supremes had made tremendous breakthroughs. They were like ghosts roaming the depths of the myriad Daos, their movements secretive and difficult to detect.
Fortunately, they bore no ill will toward the Shrouding the Heavens Universe. They had only one destination on this journey: the Ninety-Nine Dragon Mountains beyond Hangu Pass.
