The silent, empty Spiritual World was snow-white everywhere, somewhat resembling the Six Paths of Reincarnation Space.
Two identical beings stood facing each other. One was naturally Meng Qi, and the other was also Meng Qi, except that a reverse swastika symbol was imprinted in his pupils, lending him a hint of sinister menace.
He was the true culprit behind Meng Qi's demonic transformation.
"Who are you!" Meng Qi was exceedingly wary.
"Who am I?"
"You can call me... the Demon Buddha!" the Demon Buddha said, revealing a faint smile.
"You're the Demon Buddha? The legendary Demon Buddha who unleashed the Medieval Tribulation?" Meng Qi was utterly shocked.
"But weren't you suppressed by the Buddha?"
"How could you possibly appear in my Spiritual World?" Meng Qi demanded.
"How could I appear in your Spiritual World? That's a good question. Naturally, it's because you are the Demon Buddha!" the Demon Buddha said meaningfully. "You are the Demon Buddha, merely one who has yet to awaken."
"And I am your demonic thought, representing your past," he said, pointing at Meng Qi as he beguiled him.
"As long as you and I become one, we can become invincible in this world and recreate the world-destroying might of the medieval era!" A trace of demonic nature infused the Demon Buddha's words, drawing Meng Qi under their spell. In a daze, he saw the world the Demon Buddha described.
A future where he attained the fruition of the Demon Buddha, ruled over the Myriad Heavens and Worlds, and indulged his desires without restraint.
"Yes, exactly!"
"The future where we rule the world after becoming one!" He raised both arms high, as though embracing the entire world.
"Nonsense!" Meng Qi repeatedly rebuked him.
He was feeling fear, because he sensed it from the bottom of his heart.
