Lorne and Katarina continued their shopping trip, each harboring their own ulterior motives.
At dusk, they returned to the upscale restaurant and enjoyed a lavish dinner.
This time, Katarina paid, and Lorne did not refuse.
"It seems you've finally accepted me, Mr. Gentleman." Katarina looked at him with a broad smile.
Lorne merely nodded without saying anything.
After all, being treated to dinner by a beautiful woman was hardly a bad thing.
Of course, had he known that the meal had actually been paid for with the "service fee" obtained from the half of the Beyonder Characteristics that rightfully belonged to him, he might not have been quite so nonchalant.
After dinner, a trace of reluctance appeared on Katarina's face, but she still took the initiative to suggest calling it a day.
This time, it was Lorne's turn to ask her to stay.
He still did not know exactly what the threat lurking in the shadows was, but his intuition told him that staying beside this woman might be safer.
"Although shopping with you has been delightful," Katarina said in a slightly weary voice, seemingly seeing through his thoughts, "I'm getting a little tired.
"We could agree to meet here again tomorrow, or-you could come back to the hotel with me~"
Lorne's mouth twitched slightly at her words.

Left with no other choice, Lorne said goodbye, turned, and left.
Watching Lorne hurry away, Katarina covered her mouth and giggled.
Shopping with the little fellow really is delightful. I feel quite a bit younger myself.
Now this is romance!
But a lovely date shouldn't have a tail tagging along the whole time.
