"Good. There really doesn't seem to be anything wrong with your body anymore..."
Lorne meticulously examined Audrey's spirit body and mental state from beginning to end. Only after confirming that no lingering problems remained did he nod in satisfaction.
Audrey let out a sigh of relief. Looking at Lorne, she deliberated for a moment before finally saying, "Viscount Scott, the way you look right now..."
As a Psychiatrist, she could tell that his near loss of control in the Mind World had clearly resulted from confusion over his own identity.
Although the crisis had passed, he still maintained his "James Scott" appearance. From a doctor's perspective, Audrey believed that continuing to wear a false identity would be detrimental to his recovery.
"What? Would you rather meet Mr. Dysenk than Viscount Scott, Miss Audrey?"
Hearing the concern in her words, Lorne couldn't resist teasing her. With a slight movement of his fingers, he removed the Cufflink attached to his sleeve.
As he did so, his facial muscles began to contort, and a teeth-grating scraping sound came from his bones.
Under Audrey's slightly horrified gaze, the refined, mild-mannered Viscount Scott vanished in mere seconds, replaced by Lorne Dysenk and his teasing smile.
How amazing...
Audrey marveled at having witnessed a living person change his face right before her eyes.
At the same time, once "Scott" had completely transformed back into "Lorne," she couldn't help feeling a subtle awkwardness. Rationally, she knew that the two identities belonged to the same person. But in terms of familiarity and comfort, Viscount Scott still put her more at ease.
He was clearly the same person, yet simply changing his face made him feel completely different.
"How did you do that?" Audrey couldn't contain her curiosity.
"Just a little Appearance-Changing item." Lorne shrugged, his tone casual.
