"Vice Admiral Dusk?"
Lorne quickly searched his memory for the vaguely familiar title and casually offered a name.
"Bulatov Ivan?"
"Yes, that Feysac man." Danitz nodded, pointing at the largest ship in the fleet on the distant horizon.
"That's his flagship, the Glory."
That's a pretty big ship... It looks a size larger than Cattleya's Future, but judging by its appearance and hull lines, it doesn't look as refined... Lorne compared them in his mind.
"So we've run straight into the main fleet..."
Lorne withdrew his gaze and glanced at the grim-faced Danitz beside him. "Do you have any more information?"
"There are rumors that Vice Admiral Dusk has ties to the Church of the God of Combat." Danitz recalled what he knew.
"The captain once mentioned that he's a Beyonder of the Warrior pathway."
"Shit, don't they usually operate over in the Fog Sea? What are they doing in the Sonia Sea..." Watching the fleet draw closer, Danitz couldn't help muttering a curse.
East Balam had recently descended into chaos because of the Numinous Episcopate, which was mutually hostile with both the Church of Evernight and the Church of the God of Combat.
Since Vice Admiral Dusk has the Church of the God of Combat backing him, there's a good chance his sudden voyage here with his fleet was on the Church's orders, to investigate what's really happening in East Balam... Lorne analyzed the situation inwardly.
"Oh, right, a while ago..." After some thought, Danitz seemed to remember something pleasant. He suddenly smiled and added, "A while ago... Vice Admiral Dusk fought Admiral of Blood Seniors near the Fog Sea. He only escaped after a great deal of trouble."
"That was New Senior."
"Hmm... That works out nicely. If they spot us and attack, you'll handle the negotiations." Lorne
