After practicing his shooting on the outskirts, Lorne dropped by.
The Evil Dragon Bar was on the way back to the little inn where he was staying. Since he rarely went out, it would have been a waste not to take a look around.
Luckily, another Beyonder gathering was being held that day, though the host was not the Five of Clubs from last time.
Still, the second time was easier than the first. Drawing on his previous experience, Lorne managed to join this gathering as well.
"I'd like to sell some charms. I have Slumber Charms and Door Opening charms. Is anyone interested?"
Someone began pitching his wares as soon as the gathering started.
The seller then briefly explained what the charms did.
As its name suggested, a Slumber Charm could soothe someone and then send them peacefully to sleep.
A Door Opening charm, meanwhile, could open doors without mystical effects. Even if there was no door, it would create one, effectively allowing its user to pass through a wall once.
Lorne was not particularly interested in the Slumber Charms. They were not very useful in direct combat, and he did not suffer from insomnia.
The Door Opening charms, however, interested him a great deal. After all, they sounded perfect for escaping.
"I'll take one Door Opening charm. How much?"
Before Lorne could think it over, someone beside him asked the price.
Seeing this, Lorne hurriedly raised his hand as well.
After some haggling, he eventually bought a pale blue Door Opening charm for thirty pounds.
Actually, the basic study materials he had bought earlier contained quite a bit of information on charms.
However, those basic charms were not particularly practical, and many required prayers to a deity.
