Was that the end of the volume? Huh, yes, it was.

After a long bout of hesitation, I finally decided to end the volume with this plot development. As for why, it was probably because, from this moment onward, I felt she no longer fit my opening epigraph.

"A witness to everything, a bystander to everything."

-She had already brought about enough change.

Her name-or Her divine name-would spread through Moon City from this moment onward. Perhaps it would eventually reach the other cities in the Forsaken Land of the Gods, then finally leave the Forsaken Land of the Gods to become an epic of salvation and forgetting.

Thanks to her pestering, Klein crawled out of his grave ahead of schedule, happened to run into Mr. Azik, and got his hands on Creeping Hunger early-the original novel never actually mentioned when Mr. Azik stopped needing Creeping Hunger. All we could be sure of was that it was before they met again. The plot needed it, so cut me some slack (?).

Miss Justice would not have to worry about potion formulas all the way up to Demigod. As for potion ingredients, joining the Psychology Alchemists' Society was clearly not the only answer. Her need for the Psychology Alchemists' Society had been greatly reduced, leaving this subplot's very existence hanging by a thread (to be honest, I still haven't figured out how to resolve that).

The True Creator had gained an Oracle whose significance was unclear... uh, the significance here was a little too unclear. Let's cross that out for now.

Other things... the significance of those other things wasn't all that clear either. Let's cross those out for now.

Anyway, once she was no longer a pure bystander, once she had left the first stroke of her own color on this world, I felt that we, outside the story, ought to mark the occasion with a little ceremony too. For example, by giving her a new volume (?).

The next volume is called "White Walker." Oh yes, that Sequence 3, that bucket of white paint. As for the opening epigraph, I've already thought of that too (nods).

"Wherever one treads, one must leave a trace."

P.S. Why did the first volumes of both books end up being thirty-six chapters long? I originally thought the first volume of this one could be a little longer. Even if it was only the introduction, this seemed a bit too short...
