He also receives the favor of a powerful Outer Deity that has already fallen and fragmented, inheriting the "Colour Out of Space" pathway-and becoming its designated vessel for resurrection.

To survive, Julian is forced to embark on a Beyonder path unlike any other.

He prowls amid kaleidoscopic hues and lethal radiation, tearing through fate's encirclement with life-devouring rainbow light.

He is the rainbow light of the "Twilight Hermit Order," and the lightning-struck "Tower" of the "Tarot Club."

He is the candlebearer of "Evernight," the "God of the Aurora" worshipped in the "Forsaken Land of the Gods," and the "Night Watchman" of the apocalypse.

When the "Promised Day" finally arrives, the convergence ordained by fate gathers within him. Phantasmal light beyond any spectrum blazes through the void, and the great will's enormous, many-colored eye opens once more.

Yet reflected in its pupil is the figure of a young man, smiling brightly.
