Several days later, despite Konoha's best efforts to suppress it, news of the Fourth Hokage and his wife's deaths still spread. Unable to stop it, Konoha simply announced to the Shinobi World that the couple had died taking the Nine-Tails down with them.
Minato Namikaze's death was undoubtedly good news for the other nations, but they were more interested in the reason behind it. The strongest Shinobi Village would never lose its Hokage to a Tailed Beast alone.
There had to be some secret behind it. After all, the entire Shinobi World had witnessed Minato's strength.
The Land of Wind, Sunagakure.
As the instigator of the Third Shinobi World War and its only defeated nation, Sunagakure was having a hard time. After the Daimyo of the Land of Wind cut military funding, its economy depended entirely on the Fourth Kazekage's gold dust.
In his office, Rasa accepted the intelligence handed over by an ANBU member, his expression shifting uncertainly. He looked toward the two elders beside him, Chiyo and Ebizo. Although he was the Kazekage, those two still had the final say in truly important matters.
"Elder Chiyo, Elder Ebizo, what are your thoughts on the Fourth Hokage's death? Should we..."
Before Rasa could finish, Chiyo shook her head. "We shouldn't provoke Konoha recklessly. Our losses in the last war were too severe. If we didn't have you..."
Ebizo sighed as well. "What sort of turmoil will the Yellow Flash's death bring to the Shinobi World? Never mind. My sister and I are both old. We should leave the decision to the Kazekage."
Rasa nodded slightly. He had only been sounding out the elders and had no intention of attacking Konoha. Sunagakure had already lost far too many ninja to war, while Kirigakure across the water continued probing their borders.
