The Moon Palace.

The palace, built centuries ago, welcomed its first guest from outside the clan: Fū, the Seven-Tails Jinchuriki.

Fū was outgoing and cheerful, but after stepping into the palace, she grew cautious and huddled behind Toneri.

The place was far too deserted. Apart from her and Toneri, the only two living people, everything that moved was a puppet controlled by the tenseigan, tasked with attending to them.

Having been a ninja since childhood, she was used to doing things herself. Being waited on actually made her uncomfortable.

Toneri, however, accepted the puppets' service as naturally as eating or drinking.

Fū also noticed that Toneri had no family, nor were there any graves for deceased relatives. After leaving her here, he walked alone into the Palace Complex.

Left on her own, Fū sat on the steps and watched the glowing "sun" nearby.

She was no longer in the Shinobi World... whether she was on the moon was anyone's guess.

What she did know was that this was not the Shinobi World. Its sun would never be so small, nor would it remain fixed in one spot in the sky forever and turn into a moon at night.

Unlike the sun, which was too bright to look at directly, this seemed more like something a ninja had created.

Toneri's ancestors had made something so magnificent. They truly were kin to the legendary Sage of Six Paths.

But why were none of them in the palace they had created? Why was Toneri the only one left?

Fū stopped pondering when she heard footsteps. Toneri and the puppets he controlled had appeared before her, a faint smile on his face.

But Fū only found him unsettling. Eyes were the windows to the soul, yet Toneri had been born without them.
