"My eye power really has increased several times over, but I doubt I can trounce the Sannin and kick the Five Kage around like you said, Oto..."
Itachi spoke with a somewhat stiff smile, his assessment of his own strength perfectly clear.
In the genjutsu world, he had fought Akatsuki members and Danzo, the leader of Root, and understood the differences between their levels of strength.
Oto nodded and circled Itachi a few more times, propping her chin on one hand. "Good. Awakening your Mangekyō Sharingan hasn't gone straight to your head. All the effort I put into preparing this genjutsu for you wasn't wasted."
Itachi froze at her words, then asked, "Oto, are you saying you arranged everything in the genjutsu world? Wasn't Shisui the one who cast it?"
Shisui said helplessly, "Itachi, even I couldn't create a genjutsu this vast and realistic. It practically goes beyond the bounds of genjutsu."
Itachi looked at Oto, finding it hard to imagine that she had orchestrated everything he had experienced in the genjutsu world.
Merely recalling those memories sent a chill down his spine.
As though she had seen through his thoughts, Oto Uchiha shook her head gently. "I can't cast a genjutsu on that scale either. This was a gift Zou prepared for you. I only added a few little details."
"Zou prepared this?"
The image of Zou Hyuga in Itachi's mind grew a little more mysterious.
A member of the Hyuga whose mastery of genjutsu surpassed the Uchiha-he truly lived up to being the man who dared to date Oto.
Curious, Itachi asked, "What details, exactly?"
Oto glanced at Itachi and said casually, "Something like letting a poor girl survive, then having her team up with someone to kill a scumbag... yes, he got what he deserved."
